Game 1 — The No. 7 Seed Game
The teams that finish 7th and 8th in the regular-season standings play a single win-or-go-home game. The winner becomes the No. 7 playoff seed. The loser gets a second chance in the next game instead of being eliminated outright.
Game 2 — The Elimination Game
The teams that finish 9th and 10th play each other, also win-or-go-home. The loser of this game is eliminated from playoff contention entirely — their season ends here.
Game 3 — The No. 8 Seed Game
The loser of the 7v8 game faces the winner of the 9v10 game for the last playoff spot. Whoever wins claims the No. 8 seed and a First Round date against the No. 1 seed.
